Can I replace my existing vents with Axis Vents?
Yes, you can easily replace your current vents with Axis Vents—as long as the dimensions match one of our available sizes.
My register is old, broken, or discoloured. What should I do?
You can start by replacing just the vent if the size matches. However, if there’s a noticeable contrast between the new vent and the old register, you may prefer to replace the entire register for a cleaner, more uniform look.
Where is the best place to push when opening the vents?
As shown in our demonstration video, the optimal push point is the second fin in from the smallest fin.
How difficult is it to close the vents?
Simply adjust the fins to a 45° angle and gently push the adapter against the selected fin.
PLEASE NOTE: Avoid using excessive force, as this may dislodge the entire vent.
Which fin should I use to rotate the vents?
Use the same fin you use to open the vent—typically the second fin in from the smallest.
PLEASE NOTE: Do not push too hard upwards, as this can increase friction or potentially pop the vent out of place.
My vent size isn't listed on your website. What are my options?
You have two options:
- Replace your existing register with one that fits Axis Vents. We recommend consulting an authorised partner or your local heating and cooling specialist.
- Contact us with your specific vent measurements, and we’ll respond with tailored recommendations.
I'm not sure how to measure my vents. What should I do?
A handy friend or tradesperson may be able to assist you. Alternatively, you can contact one of our authorised partners or a local HVAC expert.

I have round ceiling vents. Can I switch to Axis Vents?
Absolutely! However, ceiling modifications are required. We strongly recommend working with one of our authorised partners or a qualified HVAC professional for this installation.
Will switching to Axis Vents affect airflow?
Axis Vents have been independently tested by a commercial HVAC airflow specialist. The results showed less than 2% airflow reduction—virtually unnoticeable.
What warranty comes with Axis Vents?
All Axis Vents include a 12-month replacement warranty from the date of purchase.
PLEASE NOTE: The warranty does not cover misuse or physical damage.
Do I need to buy the Axis Vent Adapter?
It’s optional, but highly recommended. The adapter makes opening, adjusting, and rotating your vents significantly easier.
Do I need the Axis Vent Extension Pole?
It’s your choice, but many customers find it helpful—especially for ceilings between 2.4 m (8 ft) and 3+ m (12 ft) high. The adapter is compatible with most standard broom or paint extension poles, but having a dedicated pole helps ensure your adapter doesn’t get misplaced.
Do I need to remove Axis Vents to clean them?
No removal required! Just open the vent to 90 degrees and use our microfiber cleaning pouch to wipe between the fins.
Do I need to buy one of your Microfibre Cleaning Pouches?
It’s completely optional. Our microfiber pouch is designed to fit over the adapter, making it easier to maintain your vents regularly and effectively.
